Ongame moving out of the US Market

From Daniels Blog at Full Contact Poker

FCP and the OnGame announcement: As some of you may have heard, the OnGame network has decided that they too will be pulling out of the U.S. While that's disappointing, this does not mean that FCP will be running away. As of now everything at FCP is business as usual.

Over the next few weeks FCP will look to find a new home using a different software provider. FCP currently has several options available and there is a group of "wicked smart" people working on making any future transition as smooth as possible.

On a personal level, I've taken a lot of the suggestions from the FCPer's in the forums and have conveyed them to the people at FCP. FCP is a cool community, and your input is not only appreciated but also very important to me. I want to do everything I can to get the people at FCP to give you guys what you want.

One last thing, thanks to all of you guys who've shown me and FCP support during this turbulent time. I wasn't sure how you guys would take the news that FCP will be moving to a new network, but so far I've received nothing but positive remarks. Thanks again guys.

Apparently according to FCP support an announcement regarding American Players is going to be made later today. I'm guessing it's regarding where they are going after they leave on game.

HP support told me last night the cutoff was Nov. 13. Today it is deny, deny, deny.

Ongame also changed the $5m freeroll to a $100k added. They just boosted all their guaranteed tourneys last week too. I wonder how long until they start getting cut.

Here is FCP big announcement

As you probably know by now, the Ongame Network (provider of FCP's
poker software) was forced to make the difficult decision of
restricting U.S. residents from playing real money games on their
poker network. As a result Full Contact Poker has been working with
Ongame and another network software provider to produce a solution for
all of the FCP players to continue playing at our site with minimal
interruption during a transitional phase over the next few weeks.

Prior to the launch of our new poker software solution, we must ask
our U.S. players to follow some new rules outlined by Ongame.

Depositing Restrictions
On October 25th, U.S. players will not be able to deposit or transfer
any new money into their FCP poker accounts. The FCP cashier will
continue to allow you to deposit new money into your cashier account,
but after October 25th, money in your cashier account cannot be
transferred to your poker account.

Any money in your poker account by October 25th will be available for
use to play poker as normal at FCP through the Ongame Network until
November 5th. Shortly after November 5th, Full Contact Poker will be
providing a new poker network opportunity.

Cash-Outs
As always, your funds will continue to be safe and secure.

Unused Tournament Tickets
Valid tournament tickets are as good as cash and will be refunded to
your account once Ongame's U.S. restrictions are implemented on
November 6th. It may take some days for all tickets to be processed
into cash, and only valid tickets (not expired by November 6th) will
be refunded.

FCP Points will not be affected.

Pending Bonuses
You are encouraged to clear any pending bonuses before November 6th,
but if you cannot, FCP will offer you a fair solution when it converts
to a new but comparable bonus clearing platform.

Our operations team is working around the clock these days to make any
short-term changes at FCP feel seamless while our marketing team is
preparing some excellent promotions for all of you loyal players who
keep playing at FCP through this transitional period. We'll keep you
informed of all the new and exciting opportunities coming to FCP as
they are finalized.

All I can say to all this mess is FCP rulezzzzz. Their live support is so responsive and quick that it is hard to believe. I would encourage everyone who plays on FCP to have patience while they transition from the OnGame network. Remember, this is not FCP's doing, it is OnGames decision to pull out of the US market because of the new legislative restrictions.
