Why? He's last to act, hit exactly the card he wanted to hit, yet he flats. Is it because *h4n4ne* was still left to act and he thought he would check raise that river after betting flop and turn? Also, from my end, should I have bet more?

Comments

  • h4n4ne still had to act
  • lol i had a guy do this heads up in a 180 man once...i flopped a straight and he chased his flush to the river and checked it down when he hit or something, i should find it...

anyways its possible villain can't read the board to know he has the nut category of hands....but also with people in small stakes trying hard to work on their game i find they rarely re raise without the immortal nuts. This is obv just stupid here but i find alot of people won't re rasie with 2nd or 3rd nuts ever.

The value bet is fine i think, but keeping in mind a lot some of the time can be better than a little most of the time....

i never get people to stack off though....so i always tailor my v-bets.
  • I dont really like either of the lines there

but i like his line, he lost min even after the garbage call pre.

Please elaborate, as I would like to improve my game. I get that he's getting even better odds to chase than I am. Mathwise, I think I was getting the right odds.
  • maybe im a nit, but ace rag isnt something im comfortable raising with in early position

id go on more, but im brain dead from school at this moment :(

    night.

how'd you end up doing anyways cerberus?

    You're a nit!

He *just* called in case you had a better flush and it's a $1 game!

Busted 25th or so. Flopped tp and open ender w/KQo, guy had J10o, jammed the turn. I should have folded but thought he was being spazzy with QJ.
  • Fold pre. Dominated/getting 3bet too often for this to be profitable.
Raise flop. Donk bets are generally weak. Besides even if he has KQ here we still have 12 cards to hit.
Once you raise flop, Ship turn. We've improved slightly, giving us another 3 outs. Good chance he'll fold to your aggression as he has no idea where we stand. As far as he's concerned we are representing AK.

Money5477 doens't know how to play poker. No point in questioning his play. He sees 2 suited and think its worth a call. hit his flush but probably doesnt know whether a straight or a flush is bigger. Perfect candidate for fish and chips. Take the chips away from the fish. value to death, bluff never.
