  • Yours KK.....his 69.

If GregA88 had 69 he better be reraising with the nuts.
  • 77 is my guess.... I like money...

Dude... I really don't think we have time for a handjob

Good point. The my guess would be IJackit AK, GregA88 K8.

The real problem is I've been on the wrong end of these hands all week. I think runner/runners officially grow on trees now.
  • K high jaksdfk;ajsdfas
  • 57o...bottom 2pr again?
  • 88 was taken so i'll say 99
  • Why not 33?

And the villain with a high Ax.

You can tell me why not. I've been making absolute donk plays recently. (I guess it's unlikely to call for those odds with such small pockets.)

But for a shot at $5, why not? :p
  • 7 2 off suit? :D
  • Wow, lots of people betting on this being a bad beat brag.

I think it's more straightforward and you have KQ.

I discount the pp's QQ-22 because you'd have to be betting the flop.

KK-AA is plausible, but I dont think asking the forum what you held with two monster hands is likely.

You called $1.50 so the absolute junk hands are gone. J-rag, rag rag..

..but you are in position, so I think a hand like K9+ A5+ Q9+ are callable.

It's 6-max so you aren't calling with unsuited connectors or even suited connectors (no implied odds).

I doubt you are playing anything fancy, like trying to float a nothing pot, or bluffing.. You'd provide more details about the villian in order to make it a fair contest.

Your bet on the river of $4 make me think you've got a good enough hand you want to be paid off on it, so I dont think you hold a 3 or a 5.

Anyway... KQ. Preflop, you are a little leary of the open raise, but its a big enough hand to call, but not reraise. You flop a monster heads up on a very dry board, so you check to feign weakness. You know on the turn you are waaay ahead of anything he could hold, so you just call. On the river he checks and you value bet.

    Ship it plz.
  • pocket 5

    wroar!
  • 7-8 off

  • I guess 98...has anyone got it yet?
  • Nope. I'll let it run a bit longer.
  • I'll say KJ suited, can't really see him calling with a hand that much worse.
  • 73o, any good?
  • Ohhhhhhhhh, its one of THOSE hands huh?

You got Aces, get busted by bottom two pr ;)
  • I say you have K8 suited and he has pp 99-JJ.
  • 1010

    asdfasdf
  • 10 7? Favorite hand by some.
  • You have 4-4 and he has A-8.

  • AK?

Which should have been three bet without position but you figured you would pop a frisky button raiser.

You took our advice and went for pot control.
You didnt push the river as the straight kinda scared you, but bet it for value with a pot bet.

I quoted this entire post so you can all re-read it. This is how you think about a poker hand.

I had K T but the read is the nuts and far beyond what your garden variety 50NL'er is capable of. Villain held 99.

This is a standard profitable play from my playbook that sucks two streets of value out of medium to small pocket pairs who put you on 2 high cards that missed the flop when you check behind.

I 3bet AK, AQ, 99+ pre-flop like always and a few others in certain situations.

Faroughs KJ was a technically closer guess but since no one got it right on I am going to pay off BBCZ's thoughtfull post. Plus he is a degenerate so I know he will parlay the $5 into about a million in some -EV pit game.
