Sng motivation thread!
Having quite a few requests to come back and post, with great hesitation I will start this thread as I want to see a select few (reibs, piggypie, muddgutts to name a few) continue doing good, get back in the game, or help ya's to get motivated to play.
So if you play any kind of sit n go's feel free to post how you are doing, questions about hands we can help each other out with.:)
I just started playing again (not as much as I would like) and have started off well with limited bankroll. If I can keep going in the right direction I am thinking of taking shots at possibly the $7.00 buyins but will see.
My main game right now is 27 man's on stars, seem to be doing alright on a small sample so trying to stick with them. Only been playing 9 man's on full tilt due to lack of traffic in mtt sng's.
Tonight started off good in the 2 games I was playing, until I lost races and kept running into bigger pocket pairs, top 5 pay in 27 man's and I finished 8th and 7th in those games, so just short from some more cashes, a lil disappointing but I know I made the right moves and reaffirmed by plugging them into sng wiz.
I am also putting in my 2 cents in with pokerstars as they are looking at changing structure's on sng's.
So that's it for me lately how about you?

Oh ya I had a big stack big mouth on my table, you guys know the ones they get a big stack (of course by being lucky) saying I only risk my stack with good hands.
I shoved k7 suited and 810 suited back to back just as he was saying that, he shut up after that,LOL.
I had a low bank roll last week and I played $0.25, 45 man, sit n go's. Those games are so soft. I started off with around $2 and I was up to $10 within a couple of days. But then I lose it on bigger mtt's.

Played earlier on full tilt since there was 27 man's going off, did not go well. Actually 27 man's not going good today just cashed in 1 and that was the only cash in them today.
Played 6 max 2 table on stars and almost got back to back wins! These will be my back up game I think.:)
Sorry to hear about the 27man's. Good you got a nice comeback with the 6max sng's on stars. 6 max have always been my favourite, I usually stick to them.
Beat, accidently registered for a regular sng instead of a turbo, so I cost myself 9 cents in winnings due to FT's weird rake structure.

To add or update from above, I do believe stars was still looking at changing payouts which I am still for but I don't see it happening.
I see stars is doing happy hours and stuff right now, wonder if Moose still likes the happy hours.
As for Full Tilt, it's the same, no traffic at all for mtt sng's now
In regards to merge, they got rid of instadebit and saw their was problems regarding cashouts or something and they got rid of rakeback? They lost traffic too so after the instadebit situation I had no options to play there anymore and uninstalled the software.
As others have said recently, online poker has been on a decline really since 2007, not helping was the ultimate bet and full tilt fiasco's which were the 2 best sites for games and fish and it's such a shame.
Those fiasco's and the u.s. government situation killed it for me to play poker quite a bit, also I work a shitty shift. While another warehouse was on strike and pretty much shut us down we all played poker, their was 2 tables of us and I ended up winning:wink2:(does that count as a "liveament"?) so that got me excited to start playing again a bit, did not start off well but hey it was like 5-6 months of not playing at all so was not expecting much, then it turned around a bit on my main game 27 man's and now on a 8 game cashless streak and stopped playing right now to focus on other stuff again and it was extremely busy at work.
I have been trying to focus more on just playing for fun, not worry about the money part of the game and not play bad like I did when I first started playing poker.
Even though I don't play poker for stretches at a time, I still watch poker videos, read up on strategy and stay somewhat up to date on what's happening in the poker world.

I keep a eye on 45 man's on stars, I have played them before and not against them, just the time period for them to finish up is a lil long for me but the .50 cent difference in buy in might make sense in some cases.
