  • $1.25 a chip. I would rather buy the $1 chips at a licensed casino and use them. I know when I get tired of them I can always go and cash them in.
  • Yeah I know the price is pretty steep , but if you want to run tournaments or bigger cash games you are going to need higher denominations . I might not be able to afford a mercedes or have a chalet in Aspen , but I can afford to have the best homegame chips available at this time , it all depends what one wants to waste your money on.
  • Well said. You have an excellent point.
  • There is a guy who offers a custom print service on Ebay. I would think that $1.25 a chips + S&H would run a huge amount.

For my games, I use between 1250 and 1500 chips. Sometimes more. That is just too high for me to consider. I can't lay out somewhere near $2K for chips.

I would love to find a decent chip that I could customize for under $1 total. I have found some leads in Vegas and overseas that have quoted my $.65 US per chip, but then I would need to pay freight and insurance too.

I hate that these little suckers cost so much, but still. My other worry is that once I have a nice chip set, I will need an equally nice table and then the cost really gets going. I am just like that.
