Out of the Vegas loup...

I'm looking at a possible trip to LV in December.

Is booking at a Harrah's property with the TR card still the way to get the best rate? Or should I be looking into other hotels for a better value?

  • If you can find comps it's the way to go but watch out for the resort fees. At least they show what they are on your reservation and don't surprise you at check out.

Best deal right now, is to earn free rooms using the MyVegas app on your phone and facebook (you can double dip).
  • Thanks Moose.

Is the Harrah's TR card still in use at Casino Windsor?
  • yep. They were one of the ones not affected by the bankruptcy.
  • Cool. What casino's where effected in the bankruptcy? Like I said, I am out of the loup...
  • Well they are all still operating. I think in Vegas the only casino that is part of the bankruptcy is Caesars. For me at least, comps have vanished.

    The Caesars Bankruptcy: What

Is this to be a boys trip, wifey trip or family trip?
  • Party trip for my buddy's 40th BDay. Not sure if Mrs. JohnnieH will be going or not. Getting out of the Maritimes adds $500 for a flight, each.

Odd, I received a notice of bankruptcy today. Anyone else get one?
  • Total Rewards is shiite now........managed to make Platinum last fall, went to book 6 days in May at Ballys (granted on US long weekend).......and it's $320 + resort fees taking it to over $500 total.....

Think l paid less for 10 days last year at around the same time

    This.

Looked into a room at a Harrap prop by myself and after adding the Mrs' TR card. THE PRICE IS EXACTLY THE SAME. WTF?
  • Meh, I'm still getting lots of free rooms this fall once I add the wife's card. But I think using MyVegas is better.
  • This is still an option for me, although we're looking at February not December.

    Any more tips/tricks for deals/bargains?

That trip was almost 8 years ago! Hard to believe, isn't it?
