Regardless of why they entered the hospital in the first place, patients with covid need to be isolated from the other patients and must be treated differently by the staff caring for them, face shields, gloves and gowns etc. The number is representative of the extra strain put on the hospitals.
Numbers so strained that they’re bringing nurses back with Covid and having alternating shifts with Covid patients and non-Covid patients. Bizarro world.
